DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A child was injured after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened on Sept. 22, around 4:20 p.m.
DeKalb County police responded after receiving a report of someone being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Fellowship Road and Elmdale Road, near Tucker Middle School.
Officers found a child older than 10 years old with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The driver remained at the scene.
The DeKalb County School District confirmed the child is a student. The child’s exact age and identity were not released.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police have not released additional details about what led to the crash.
