DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — After more than a decade, a breakthrough may have come in a DeKalb County cold case.
DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston, along with representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, the FBI Atlanta Field Office and the DeKalb County Police Department, will hold a news conference Wednesday announcing the indictment of a defendant in a cold case investigation dating back to 2011.
Officials have not yet released details about the case or the identity of the person indicted.
The announcement is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Decatur.

The case involves a crime that remained unsolved for approximately 15 years before investigators secured the indictment.
Authorities say representatives from local, state and federal agencies will discuss the development during the news conference.
