DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man is dead after an overnight shooting in a DeKalb County neighborhood.
Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Omer Mohammed Ahmadi. The suspect, 24-year-old Parke Russell, is charged with murder.

Police first responded to the scene along Fisher Trail near Briarcliff and Clairmont Roads just before midnight. Officers found Ahmadi been shot and killed outside a home.
Police believe there was a fight before the shooting.
Channel 2’s Bryan Mims watched as investigators focused the investigation on a driveway in front of the home during Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4 a.m.
Mims saw two vehicles get towed away from the home: a Volkswagen with the rear and side windows shattered and a gray Toyota 4-Runner.
