Connie B. Pound, 61, was arrested after an investigation. She surrendered to the Spalding County Jail after negotiation with her lawyers.

Police said the day care was licensed through Georgia’s Bright from the Start program. The city does not have the authority to suspend state licenses.

Police did not release details about when the children’s injuries may have occurred, how they occurred or how many children were injured.

This is at least the fourth metro Atlanta day care worker to be arrested in the past few months for reported child abuse. Two day care workers at a facility in Clarkston were arrested after video showed them appear to slam a toddler to the ground. The day care director was also later arrested.
