COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — An argument at a metro Atlanta apartment ended in a deadly shooting late Wednesday night, according to the sheriff’s office.

Coweta County deputies were called to an apartment on Lakeside Way around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 after receiving a report of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found an unresponsive woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. They began life-saving measures until EMS crews arrived, but the woman was pronounced dead.

Authorities said Briana Nicole Roberts and her roommate were involved in a dispute after Roberts allegedly grabbed a gun and threatened to harm herself.
According to deputies, the roommate tried to take the gun away from Roberts. During the struggle, the gun discharged, hitting the roommate once.
Roberts was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting.
