SMYRNA, Ga. — Investigators now know how a 26-year-old mother whose dismembered remains were found in Smyrna died and where they believe the killing happened.
Less than a week after Tia Mosley, known to loved ones as “KT,” was reported missing, Smyrna police say an autopsy determined she died from a gunshot wound to the head.
“The cause of death is a gunshot wound to the head for the victim in this case,” said Lt. Meredith Holt of the Smyrna Police Department.
Police also believe Mosley was killed inside an apartment at the Park Valley Apartments complex, where investigators have spent days collecting evidence.

“We do believe at this time that she was murdered inside that apartment just based on the timeline of events that we were able to piece together along with evidence at the scene,” Holt said.
Kingston Bradley is now charged with malice murder and concealing a death in the case.
Police believe he killed Mosely between 10 a.m. and noon last Wednesday.
Mosely’s mother called 911 at 6:57 p.m. that day after the family tracked her phone to the Park Valley Apartments.
“My daughter, she’s been missing since 9, 8’o clock, I mean 9 something this morning and we’ve been looking for her,” she said.
Police believe Bradley was home alone during the day. He lived with his father who investigators believe was at work.
Investigators said they found a large amount of blood in the apartment, a saw and smelled bleach.
“We were able to recover her phone,” Holt said.
Police found Mosely’s phone in the woods near Bradley’s apartment.
They are looking through it and other evidence to determine what happened.
“Some of it has to do with social media, some of it has to do with actual devices, some of it has to do with various vehicles,” Holt said.
