COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Police Department said they helped arrest a man from Tennessee on Sept. 9. Now he’s waiting in jail before being extradited to face a murder charge.
Channel 2 Action News previously reported on 21-year-old Anthony Peacock Rumbel’s arrest after a chase.

According to police, Rumbel, who was wanted for a murder in Tennessee, was driving a pickup truck when he started a high-speed chase in Marietta.
Cobb County Major Crimes Unit detectives were called in to assist after the Georgia State Patrol got involved in chasing him down.
According to Tennessee law enforcement officials, Rumbel is accused of killing a man who was found dead in Tennessee on Sept. 9.
ABC affiliate WTVC reported that authorities said Rumbel’s alleged victim was his father, Michael Rumbel.

The pickup truck Rumbel was driving was tied to a murder investigation in Tennessee.
After a PIT maneuver near Interstate 75 and the Canton Connector, Rumbel was taken into custody.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was told Rumbel was in custody in Georgia and requested that the truck and Rumbel be transported to the Crimes Against Persons Office.
Police said detectives got a fugitive from justice warrant for Rumbel, and he was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
He’s being held without bond while awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
