Busy Cobb road closed after ‘serious’ crash involving motorcycle

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Portions of a busy road in Cobb County are shut down after a “serious crash” involving a motorcycle.

NewsChopper 2 flew over Powers Ferry Road in Cobb County and saw a motorcycle laying the road and a car that appeared to have been turning into the Kroger parking lot.

On the ground, Channel 2′s Michele Newell could see that the car had been turning when it appeared that the motorcycle struck the car.

There was debris scattered across the roadway.

Channel 2 is working to learn the conditions of the people involved in the crash.

The southbound lanes of Powers Ferry Road are still closed between Delk Road and Terrell Mill Road while Cobb County police investigate. The northbound lanes are open.
