Braves to offer free COVID-19 vaccines for fans at games this weekend

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — This coming weekend, the Atlanta Braves are offering fans an opportunity to get two things done at the same time.

Fans can come to this weekend’s series at home vs. the Philadelphia Phillies and see some great baseball--and they can get a COVID-19 vaccination.

The vaccination part for fans who haven’t had one, is free.

The Braves are teaming up with their healthcare partners at Emory Healthcare to offer either the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine to any fan at the ballpark who wants to get the shot during games Friday or Saturday night. along with a chance to win a pair of tickets to a future game.

The Braves say if you’re interested in getting vaccinated while at the game you can either sign up online or they’ll take walk-ups.

Shots will be given at Konica-Minolta Conference Center located inside the stadium. They’ll be available Friday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and Saturday May 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Braves also want fans to know the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be open to anyone 18 or older who has not gotten vaccinated, while the Pfizer shot is available to anyone 16 or older wanting to get the shot.

The team, while allowing full capacity at the ballpark beginning this weekend, is also requiring fans to wear masks when not eating or drinking in their seat at the stadium.
