Braves hosting World Series watch parties for fans who can’t make the trip to Houston

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The quest to win the World Series is underway for the Atlanta Braves as the team is in Houston for the Game 1 and Game 2.

For fans who were unable to make the trip to Texas, the Braves don’t want them to miss out on all the fun.

The Braves will host watch parties on the Plaza Green at The Battery Atlanta Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Channel 2 Action News has a team of reporters and photographers following the Braves. Watch LIVE coverage all week from Houston and Atlanta.

The festivities begin 30 minutes before game time and feature meet and greets with Braves alumni and photo opportunities.

There will also be appearances and performances by Atlanta mascot Blooper and Braves entertainment teams, tailgate games throughout the plaza and charity raffles and auction.

Parking for the watch parties is free in the Red, Green, Silver, Yellow, and Purple Decks for up to three hours and is first-come, first-served.

Make sure to give yourself plenty of time before the game if you want a good spot on the lawn to watch the game

If you are looking for tickets to the World Series games in Atlanta, a limited number of tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The prices start in the hundreds of dollars but could cost you thousands for a single ticket on the secondary market. If you are unable to purchase a ticket, the Battery will be open like it was for the previous home games.

Thousands of people packed the Battery for Saturday night’s NLCS clinching Game 6.
