COBB COUNTY, Ga. — With thousands of people flocking to Truist Park on gamedays, traffic can be a mess. But many in the area say Cobb County and the Braves have it figured out.
Channel 2’s Berndt Petersen was out at Truist Park with fans on Tuesday as the Braves take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.
Julia Soltysiak lives at The Battery, and says even though large numbers of people are there often, it’s not all bad.

“You know what you’re getting into. It’s a lively environment. I’m a lively person, so I’m into it!” she told Petersen.
Jessica Berliner manages a boutique in The Battery and has many times left work at the same time that fans are leaving the ballpark.
“It moves pretty quickly, faster than you’d think when there’s 40,000 people here at the stadium,” Berliner said.

When the ballpark and The Battery were built, Cobb County engineers had traffic control in mind.
Soltysiak says that the venue isn’t too stressful to get in and out of after a big event.
“The cops are out there, they’re helping. They’re navigating the pedestrians to only use the bridges, but you are still going to be in some traffic because everyone is leaving at the same time,” she said.
Both women say the biggest hurdle is just getting out of the parking deck. Once you’ve done that, you can move along pretty well.
