KENNESAW, Ga. — A 20-year-old man living in metro Atlanta faces four charges after being accused of damaging surveillance cameras at a local park.
Cobb County arrest warrants show that James Gerard Ramirez allegedly went to Big Shanty Park in Kennesaw around 1 a.m. on Sept. 29, then started breaking Flock cameras.
Warrants for Ramirez’s arrest said he cut cables to transmitters and solar panel powering systems on two cameras at the park and toppled over one of them after removing screws from it.

After damaging the cameras, which belong to Cobb County Parks & Recreation, Ramirez was captured on video driving away in a white pickup truck.
Additional Flock cameras were used to track the truck down and officers found the truck and Ramirez at his home.
Speaking with police, the arrest warrants said he was read his Miranda warning, then confessed to damaging the cameras.
Ramirez was charged with two counts of criminal trespass to damage property, misdemeanors, and two counts of criminal interference with government property, felonies.
He was released from the Cobb County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
