HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. — Richard Teal felt a car behind him was driving erratically and quickly, so he got out his 360 camera.

A few minutes later, the camera caught a driver slamming into him and driving off.
Teal was returning home Sept. 3 after visiting a friend when he noticed a vehicle behind him.
“I tried to put distance between us,” Teal said. “If I sped up, he sped up.”
Less than a mile from his home, Richard Teal says a vehicle slammed into his motorcycle from behind and then drove away, leaving him broken and bleeding on the road.
“I never saw it coming,” Teal said. “He hit me from behind.”
Video recorded from Teal’s motorcycle captured the aftermath of the crash, including a 911 call in which he repeatedly told dispatchers that someone had hit him and left the scene.
The crash left Teal with a broken hand, three breaks in his lower back, extensive road rash, and other injuries across much of his body, he said.
The collision also badly damaged a motorcycle he had hoped to pass down to his children.
“I’ve put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it,” Teal said. “I’ve had it for a long time.”
However, despite the damage, the 360-degree camera survived.

Teal said he has spent hours reviewing the footage, slowing it down and examining different angles in hopes of finding clues that could identify the driver.
“I try to look at it not as me in the accident,” Teal said. “I look for clues and different angles and try to piece stuff together.”
Police say they are on the lookout for the car but currently have no leads.
As a result, Teal has tried to share the video himself, hoping the community will help.
“You know the car. You’ve seen it. You’ve seen it drive by. You’ve seen it parked,” Teal said. “Somebody has said something.”
Buchanan police are asking anyone with information about the crash or the vehicle involved to contact investigators.
“We need to know who they are,” Teal said. “They need to be held accountable.
