ATLANTA — Major League Baseball has confirmed that Game 3 of the Wild Card Series between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies will be a night game.
First pitch is set for 8:15 p.m. in the winner-take-all game at Truist Park and gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for Game 3 are available here.
Both teams had to wait until 1 a.m. to learn what time they would be playing on Thursday. The game time wasn’t decided until the San Diego Padres swept the Chicago Cubs in their Wild Card series.

Atlanta is looking for its first playoff series win in five years and its first-ever playoff series win over Philadelphia.
The Braves took Game 1 on Tuesday, but couldn’t rally against the Phillies in extra innings in Game 2 on Wednesday.
Both managers Walt Weiss and Don Mattingly have not said who will start on the mound in Game 3. The Braves options are Grant Holmes getting the start or an opener situation.
The Phillies are likely to go with Cobb County native Zach Wheeler or Aaron Nola.
