CANTON, Ga. — A boil water advisory has been issued for part of Canton after a water main break and water pressure issues there Sunday, the city said in a social media post.
Though the water has been restored, those in the area will stay under a boil water advisory through Monday.
The area that’s affected is near Highway 140 (Waleska Road) and Marietta Highway / Riverstone Parkway.
Those who experienced a loss of water pressure should be under a boil advisory until further notice.

To properly boil tap water for drinking, cooking or food preparation, you should heat water until bubbles come up quickly and continue boiling it for one minute.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urges people to boil water or use bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing and preparing food and baby formula, making ice and drinking water for pets.
The city says that once the advisory is lifted, flush all faucets for a minimum of two minutes before using for drinking or preparing food.
