COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The last Bahama Breeze location in Georgia will be closing its doors this week.
Darden Restaurants confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the Bahama Breeze on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw will close after its final customer is served on Saturday.

Earlier this year, Darden Restaurants announced it would be closing 28 Bahama Breeze locations.
The restaurant group closed half of the restaurants permanently, including the one in Duluth. Darden plans to convert the other 14, including the Kennesaw location, into another restaurant.

Darden also owns and operates Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Yard House and more.
The Bahama Breeze in Kennesaw will become Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. It will take approximately three weeks to convert the restaurant with a reopening date set for Sept. 23.
Darden also owns and operates Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Yard House and more.
