WSB-TV and several of its employees are being recognized for excellence in journalism, community service, and broadcasting.
The Georgia Association of Broadcasters awarded WSB-TV eight GABBY Awards and presented two of its highest individual honors to members of the station’s team.
Among the top honors, Condace Pressley was named the association’s 2026 Broadcaster of the Year, recognizing her four decades of service to Georgia broadcasting and her impact on communities across the state.
“Her impact extends far beyond her title,” said Marian Pittman, president of WSB-TV. “Condace is a trusted colleague and tireless champion for the community. She embodies the integrity, service and commitment that define WSB.”
Pressley spent decades at WSB Radio before transitioning to television, where she now serves as WSB-TV’s Director of Community and Public Affairs.
The station also celebrated another major individual honor. Michael Williams, senior manager of IT at WSB-TV, received the 2026 Ditty-McLemore Engineering Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to broadcast engineering.
“Michael is the go-to engineer at WSB-TV and Cox Media Group,” Pittman said. “He’s a bridge builder between departments and a masterful problem solver.”
In addition to those individual recognitions, WSB-TV earned eight GABBY Awards:
- Best Newscast – WSB-TV News Staff
- Best Program (Non-News or Sports) – The Hit of Derwin Brown
- Best Breaking News Coverage – WSB-TV News Team
- Best Community Service Project – Marian Pittman, Joe Cowan, Condace Pressley and Sean Garcia
- Best Hard News Reporting – Mark Winne and Jesse Pope
- Best Severe Weather Coverage – WSB-TV News Team
- Best Feature Story – Linda Stouffer and Brian Ferguson
- Best Station Promo – Sean Garcia and Jason Hopkins
The honors recognize contributions across the station’s news, programming, creative services, and community affairs teams.
