ATLANTA — A reported golf cart theft near the Atlanta Beltline ended with a foot chase and an arrest, according to police.

Atlanta officers were called to Montgomery Ferry Drive on July 22 after a man was accused of taking a golf cart from the area.
Police said the suspect ran off when he was confronted and was last seen jumping a fence near the Beltline.
Atlanta police searched the area and set up a perimeter. After a brief foot chase, officers caught the suspect, police said.

The man was identified as 34-year-old Shaheed Patton.
Patton was charged with criminal trespass and obstruction. Officers also learned he had an active warrant out of Muscogee County.
Patton was taken to the Fulton County Jail
