ATLANTA — A murder suspect who police say escaped after an hours-long SWAT standoff in October is now in custody.
Tyshier Denike, 21, was arrested on Friday by Atlanta police, Clayton County sheriff’s deputies and Clayton County police.

Investigators say Denike is being charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection to an Oct. 5 shooting on Oakland Drive.
Channel 2 Action News was there as police and SWAT surrounded a southwest Atlanta apartment in October.
Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News that they heard an explosion and saw a plume of smoke. Not long after that, police confirmed they had cleared the apartment and not found the suspect.

Police say the suspect fired at least five shots in the parking lot, shooting his 28-year-old roommate, whose identity has not been released, to death after an argument over money.
Denike is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.
