Porchfest organizers say the popular Virginia Highland music festival will take a break in 2027 and return in 2028.
They said Porchfest has grown since it started in 2021 and now needs more structure and support to keep things running smoothly and safely.
Organizers explained that they made the decision after talking with event partners, neighbors, attendees, and participants, and looking closely at what the event needs to continue.
Porchfest is known for turning front porches into live music stages throughout Virginia Highland, inviting people to walk the streets and discover local musicians.
Organizers said they plan to bring Porchfest back in 2028.
