New affordable townhomes coming to Atlanta neighborhood

ATLANTA — The historic East Lake neighborhood will soon have more affordable living thanks to a new project in southeast Atlanta.

The Trust at East Lake will go up on Fayetteville Road between East Lake Golf Club and I-20.

The Atlanta Land Trust and city leaders broke ground Wednesday on more than 90 units.

Forty of the units will be reserved for lower-income families, through a dual-ownership arrangement.

“We need what we call the missing middle. We need all of the above,” Mayor Andre Dickens said.

Builders expect to have Trust at East Lake completed by Fall 2025.
