“I was in awe. I could not believe what I was seeing,” she said.

What Chandler saw was large trees covering her home. She was not there at the time, but her family was.

“My 2-month-old grandbaby was at home with my brother. It is just a miracle that no one got hurt,” she said.

That is because two of the trees, fell on the driveway.

“Yes, we normally park in the drive thru and as you can see, we can’t even get in the drive thru.”

But the largest tree closest to her home was right next to the room, where the baby was.

That tree fell in the other direction and landed on the roof of the porch.

“It destroyed my living room,” Chandler said. “There is a big hole there. It tore off half of my house as you can see on the side. My handicap ramp is gone.”

Although her home is mostly damaged, Chandler said she is still grateful.

“I am just thankful to God because disaster happens for a reason, for a season. So, we never know. We do not understand but if we can get through it, then we know there is a higher power,” she said.
