Grease fire at popular BeltLine restaurant temporarily shuts it down

ATLANTA — A popular restaurant along the Atlanta BeltLine is temporarily shut down after it caught fire Sunday afternoon.

Spokespeople with Hawkers Atlanta, a restaurant specializing in Asian street food, say a grease fire inside the restaurant caused some mechanical issues.

They have not stated when they expect to reopen, but say they plan to repair and reopen as soon as possible.

There is no word at this time on whether or not the restaurant had to be evacuated and if any injuries were reported.
