Grady to open 2 new outpatient centers in Fulton County

FULTON COUNTY, Ga — Grady Health System is opening two new outpatient centers to meet Atlanta’s ‘rapidly growing healthcare needs,’ according to a Thursday news release.

The two new outpatient centers will aim to improve access to primary and specialty care for people in central and south Fulton County.

The two new neighborhood health centers will be the Lee + White Outpatient Center on Lee St in SW, Atlanta and Cascade Outpatient Center on Cascade Road.

Grady hopes these centers will help to offset the closure Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center South and Atlanta Medical Center.

“We have listened to our community and paid close attention to the areas that need more health services,” said John Haupert, president and CEO at Grady. “We conducted research and identified these neighborhoods that have seen significant population growth but have historically lacked access to primary and specialty care.”

Grady hopes these centers will make it easier for people to get care closer to their homes.

The Cascade center will open by July 2023 and the Lee + White center will open in late 2023, according to the news release.

After these two centers open, Grady will operate eight outpatient centers in metro Atlanta.
