Georgia Tech officer has spontaneous dance battle with stranger on campus

ATLANTA — A Georgia Tech Police officer took time out of his daily grind to have a spontaneous dance battle with a stranger.

Georgia Tech police shared the awesome video of CORE Officer Rodriguez trading moves with a man across the street to the tune of “Select” by Sophia Vargas.

“We just had to share (the video) with you,” the department wrote on Facebook. “Make sure you take some time to let loose and dance it out this weekend!”

The department asked people to drop a doughnut emoji to vote for Rodriguez and a dancing man emoji for his challenger.

“Such a hard decision maybe a rematch??” one Facebook user wrote.

Rodriguez is part of the CORE division on campus, which aims to prevent crime by engaging with the campus community.

Rodriguez joined the crime prevention unit in September 2020.

We're incredibly excited to welcome Officer Rodriguez to the team on our Crime Prevention Unit! Thank you for your service. #gatechpd
