ATLANTA — Body camera video shows Atlanta police drawing their guns and arresting a suspect right outside a bank he allegedly tried to rob.

Police say Kevin Simons, 38, was arrested on Aug. 25 after allegedly passing a note to a bank employee demanding money.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at 2204 Peachtree Road NW, a Wells Fargo Bank, at about 10:09 a.m.

A preliminary investigation showed that Simons demanded $25,000 from the bank teller.
Police said they set up a perimeter around the building and arrested Simons about five minutes later, as he left the location. No one was hurt during the incident.
Simons was charged with robbery.
Investigators also determined that he had an active warrant through the U.S. Marshals Service.
He was taken to the Fulton County Jail.
