APD: Suspects steal $13K in gaming money, cartons of cigarettes from food market

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who reportedly broke into a southwest Atlanta business and stole thousands of dollars worth of items.

On Apr. 29, two men broke into a business on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard overnight, according to police. The address appears to be the West Food Market.

Once inside the suspects reportedly stole $13,000 in gaming money, 50 cartons of cigarettes, and $5,000 in cash.

Atlanta officials said the store was closed during the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on the identities of the two men is urged to contact the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-8477 or online. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
