ATLANTA — While an active shooter investigation unfolded in Midtown, many city streets were closed off as police searched for the shooter.
West Peachtree Street near 12th Street was completely shut down and people in that area were asked to shelter in place for four hours on Wednesday afternoon. All lanes were closed at 14th and Spring Streets.
Because of the massive police presence, traffic was a nightmare across parts of Midtown.
