2 injured in shooting at northwest Atlanta apartment complex

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex on Monday night that left two people injured.

Officers were called to The Commons apartments in the 3000 block of Middleton Road just after 6 p.m. Monday evening for a person shot.

Once they arrived on the scene, officers learned that two people, a man and woman, had been shot.

Both were alert, conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital. Their current condition is unknown.

Police are still working to learn what led up to the shooting.

Investigators haven’t released any information on potential suspects.
