Police say that three people were shot. A 17-year-old boy died at the scene and two people are hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

Investigators say early details point to the shooting being the result of a robbery involving drugs. They say the incident was targeted and the public is not in any danger.

No details on possible suspects has been released.

This shooting marks at least the third shooting investigation at this apartment complex in the last month and a half.

In December, a United States Postal Service worker, Nelly Jones, was caught in the crossfire of a shootout between two groups at the complex while she was on the job. Jones survived her injuries.

Earlier this month, a homicide investigation was underway at the apartment complex after someone was shot and killed. That person’s identity has not been released.
