The nonprofit Atlanta Land Trust (ALT), which is dedicated to preserving permanent affordable homeownership opportunities throughout metro Atlanta, appointed David Ogunsanya as its new executive director.
A longtime leader in the community land trust movement, Ogunsanya brings more than 15 years of experience creating and preserving permanently affordable homeownership opportunities in communities across the country, according to a media release.
As executive director, he will lead the organization’s strategic, operational, and fundraising efforts.
Over the course of his career, he has led housing and real estate initiatives across Georgia, Washington, D.C., and Colorado, helping create and steward hundreds of permanently affordable homes while building strong partnerships with local governments, funders, and community organizations.
Most recently, as vice president of Real Estate at Elevation Community Land Trust, he oversaw a development pipeline exceeding $100 million and helped deliver more than 580 affordable homes across Colorado.
He also previously served as director of housing for Athens Land Trust, where he led housing and real estate operations and advanced affordable homeownership initiatives through partnerships with local government, funders, and community stakeholders.

Together, we will create opportunities that strengthen neighborhoods and expand access to homeownership for generations to come.”
Ogunsanya will assume the role in September.
