ROME, Ga. — A 70-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed early Tuesday morning.

Sandra Lee Fincher of Rome died after being hit by a white car in the 1900 block of Shorter Avenue. The crash happened before 7 a.m., Rome police said.
The Floyd County Coroner’s Office earlier were looking for help contacting Fincher’s family, Rome police said in a social media post earlier Tuesday. However, in an evening update, police said the next-of-kin had been found.
Police say the crash is still under investigation. It’s not currently known if the car’s driver will face charges.
