60-year-old woman accused of road rage crash that killed driver

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Cherokee County sheriff’s office said a 60-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after deputies said she caused a driver to lose control and crash.

The incident happened on March 13 on I-575 near Ball Ground.

Carolyn Rampley is accused of causing 25-year-old Ashley Faucet to lose control and crash. She was killed in the crash.

A tip from someone in the community led detectives to arrest Rampley. She is facing vehicular homicide, reckless driving, aggressive driving and hit-and-run charges. She is currently being held without bond.
