17-year-old member of ‘Sex Money Murder’ gang charged with murder, police say

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — A teenager is behind bars for allegedly shooting and killing a man near a Griffin golf course.

The body of 20-year-old Pierre Parrish was found at the intersection of Beck and English streets Wednesday afternoon, but Griffin police believe he had been dead at the location for several days.

Authorities said Parrish suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

After investigating, police identified 17-year-old Cedravious Wilkerson as the suspect. He was arrested and charged with murder and gang-related charges.

Griffin police said Wilkerson and Parrish were members or affiliates of the “Sex Money Murder” gang, a subset of the Bloods street gang.

Investigators are still working to put together the pieces of this case, and said they anticipate more arrests related to this shooting.

“This incident is yet another example of the dangers of this gang lifestyle which has resulted in another senseless death,” the police department said.
