13-year-old girl dies in ATV accident riding to her grandparents’ house, GSP says

DODGE COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia teen is dead after an ATV accident on Saturday, according to Georgia State Patrol.

On Saturday afternoon, troopers arrived to investigate a crash at a residence in Dodge County.

A GSP investigation concluded that a 13-year-old girl was riding an all-terrain vehicle to her grandparents’ home when she lost control.

The teen lost control of the ATV as she was making a turn. The ATV then overturned, killing her, according to troopers.

Later on, the teen was found by her grandfather after she did not return home.

GSP did not identify the teen. GSP said it will release the crash report at some point.
