DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police confirmed two boys died and two women were injured in a shooting Sunday.

Officers responded to 1075 N. Hairston Road in Stone Mountain. They found an 11-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy who had been shot. The youngest died at the scene and the oldest died at the hospital.
On Monday, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office identified them as: Jahki Clark, age 12, and Jamarion Rolle, age 11.
Two women, ages 19 and 39, were taken to the hospital and are currently stable. Police said all four victims are related.

Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting may have been connected to a fight that happened earlier in the day, authorities said.
DeKalb police said that they are working to determine what exactly happened.
“This is an unimaginable loss for the families involved and our entire community. We extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy,” Sgt. Elise Wells said.

Police haven’t identified possible suspects in this shooting.
The investigation stretched well beyond the apartment unit itself, Channel 2’s Brittany Kleinpeter reported on WSB Tonight at 11 p.m.
Officers were seen canvassing a large area around the complex, some using metal detectors as they searched the ground for evidence.
“Because it’s a grassy area, we’re going to utilize all the technology available and that may be a metal detector to look for any casings or anything that may be of value,” Wells said. “We usually extend our crime scenes out far just to be on the safe side. We don’t want to potentially overlook something if we keep it too narrow.”
Authorities say no one is in custody at this time, but there is no threat to the community. They’re asking anyone with information to contact them.
