Woman, boy die in Georgia apartment fire

HOMERVILLE, Ga. — HOMERVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Two people have died in a fire in south Georgia.

Clinch County Deputy Coroner W.G. Smith told The Valdosta Daily Times the fire was reported around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex in Homerville.

Smith said a 35-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy died in the fire. Their names have not been released while Smith notifies relatives.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
