Deputies say they are trying to find Gregory Allen Jones after they tried to serve warrants for his arrest at the Red Roof Inn in Forsyth. They say Jones was featured on America’s Most Wanted and they had gotten a tip he was at the hotel

They say Jones ran from his room when they showed up and jumped in his car. Deputies say they shot at the tires of Jones’s vehicle as he tried to speed away. The shots allegedly did not stop him and Deputies chased Jones and found his wrecked car behind the Daysprings Presbyterian Church on Highway 41 and Thornton Road.

They believe Jones ran from the scene but they aren’t sure where he is.

Deputies describe Jones as 5-8, 240 lbs with brown eyes and a shaved head. They are asking anyone who sees him to please call 911 immediately as Jones is considered armed and dangerous.

Forsyth Police, Georgia State Patrol officers and the Department of Corrections are all helping Monroe County Deputies in the search for Jones.
