Eat Up! Jezebel Event Honors Top 100 Atlanta Restaurants

ATLANTA,None — What are Atlanta's best restaurants?

Jezebel magazine teamed up with The Atlantan magazine to host a food celebration at the Foundry at Puritan Mill Tuesday night. Jezebel magazine picked the top 100 Atlanta restaurants in its most recent edition. The Atlantan celebrated the Atlanta culinary scene in its most recent edition.

Nearly two dozen restaurants participated in the event. Guests got an opportunity to nibble on a signature dish or two from each.

Many people will recognize a handful of the restaurants that made the list with traditional favorites like Morton's, The Palm, Atlanta Fish Market, the Buckhead Diner, The Capital Grille, Nava, Chops and Bone's all making the top 100 list.

There are a few surprises at the top of the list, though. Miller Union was ranked as the second best restaurant in Atlanta by Jezebel's readers.

"The menu is designed around seasonal ingredients from local farmers, and dishes are prepared simply to mantain the flavors of the ingredients," noted the magazine in ranking Miller Union second. "Think grilled local pork loin with field peas and braised greens and sauteed quail with dirty rice and arugula."

Miller Union is on Brady Street on the Westside.

Tops on the list this year is Empire State South. It's on Peachtree Street in Midtown.

"The menu changes constantly, but the 'Snackies In Jars' with selections of pork rillette, smoked trout mousse, pickles, pimento cheese and bacon marmalade, and boiled peanut hummus are killer," Jezebel noted.
