KENNESAW — Stunning dashcam footage shows the moments a small plane crashed on the median of a major highway in Cobb County, narrowly missing cars on either side.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. on Cobb Parkway. Kennesaw police said there was only one person on the plane -- the pilot -- and he was able to walk away unharmed.
Video shared by Channel 2 Action News Viewer Natasha Williams shows the plane coming in sideways, the nose hitting the ground the plane flipping over.
Roads in the area were shut down for hours while crews cleaned up, but they have since reopened.

“All I was thinking is, ‘I hope it doesn’t come in our store.’ That’s what I was thinking,” Young said.
She said her coworker and several others ran towards the plane to make sure the pilot was OK.
“Then it was like, is he going to be OK? Like I don’t see how anyone made it. No cars got hit nothing,” she said.
According to police, the pilot suffered only minor injuries. The plane has been towed away and the road is back open.
