Man shot near Atlantic Station drove himself to hospital before dying, police say

ATLANTA — Police say a man who was shot near Atlantic Station drove himself to the hospital before dying Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a man shot at an apartment building on the 300 block of 17th Street around noon.

When officers arrived, they learned that a man with a gunshot wounds had privately taken himself to the hospital, where he died.

The man’s identity has not been released. It’s unclear if the man shot himself or if police are searching for a shooter.
