Mother’s Day 2020: Dining options around Atlanta

Mother’s Day 2020 ranks as one of the most unusual Mother’s Days on record. With the state allowing restaurants to open if they follow a number of guidelines, some eateries have elected to open, while others continue to only offer pickup.

No matter which option your mom prefers, check out the list of options around town.

Bonefish Grill Multiple locations

The Mahi & Shrimp Family Bundle includes salad, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, fresh bread, cheesecake, and cookies. The bundle feeds five. Order from Friday through Sunday. On Sunday, for every $50 spent in gift cards, guests receive a $10 e-gift card for use all through December 31.

Capital Grille Buckhead & Dunwoody locations

Offering a three-course family-style Mother’s Day dinner of beef tenderloin and the choice of jumbo shrimp or lobster tails. The dinner also includes green beans, mashed potatoes, a flourless chocolate espresso cake, and lemon tea cookies. You must pre-order.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Multiple locations

Offering a salmon-and-chicken tender bundle, chicken Alfredo bundle or salmon bundle will be available for Mother’s Day. The bundles will include a variety of sides. Order ahead from Wednesday to Sunday.

Colletta will be offering a Mother’s Day at home menu for the big day! The restaurant will be offering a family style menu served with house made focaccia with choice of starter, entrée, salad and dessert. All food will be served cold with reheat instructions. Pricing will be based on the main course selection for two or four people, which includes: Seared Salmon with Dill Butter, Lamb Chops, or Rosemary Roasted Chicken. The four-course meal also includes a choice of salad, Spinach or Strawberry and Spring Mix, Quiche, a selection of mouthwatering sides, Biscuits with honey butter, and Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding or Chocolate Bourbon Pie for dessert. The menu for dine-in guests includes caramelized filet mignon, miso glazed Atlantic Salmon, shareable sides and more. Ray’s on the River is making its signature Mother’s Day Brunch available to go this year. This fixed brunch meal includes the restaurant’s smoked chicken salad with butter crackers, herb-crusted prime rib with horseradish cream, honey-glazed cedar plank salmon, baked three-cheese macaroni, grilled asparagus, a classic iceberg wedge salad, warm lemon butter cake with blueberry compote and more. The full meal is $195 and generously serves four people. Guests can also order a dozen yellow roses along with the meal and beverage of choice for $35. Orders must be made by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6. Gift cards are also available to purchase, with 50 percent of proceeds going directly toward supporting Ray’s employees.

The Select, located in the heart of Sandy Springs, is taking the stress out of making mom the perfect cocktail by offering some of its specialty beverages in to-go batches. Current selections include the house cosmopolitan and ginger margaritas. Both are available for $25 and serve up to three. The Select’s old fashioned, available for $32, serves up to five. The restaurant is also offering its popular birds of paradise cocktail for $30. The concoction consists of chamomile gin, passionfruit, elderflower, mint, rosemary and fresh lime juice, all mixed to perfection and serves three. Southern Bistro is bringing the comfort of its delicious southern food right to the kitchen table this Mother’s Day. The restaurant’s holiday menu features a variety of options, each accompanied by a bottle of Rosé, garden salad and buttermilk biscuits. Chicken and waffles with collard greens, brunch potatoes and maple syrup; roasted salmon filets with roasted red potatoes, grilled asparagus and lemon dill aioli; pot roast with whipped potatoes, brussels sprouts au jus and horseradish cream; and a low country boil with shrimp, andouille sausage, corn on the cob, red potatoes, onion and Old Bay seasoning.
