Severe thunderstorms brought hail, strong wind to parts of metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — A line of severe storms brought gusty winds, heavy rain, and hail to some parts of Georgia Tuesday night.

Storms moved through the southern metro Atlanta area bringing down trees and producing off-and-on showers.

Heavy rain has moved out of Bartow County, however, roads are still wet.

The storms caused a number of flight delays as well on Tuesday.

Earlier Tuesday, Severe Weather Team 2 tracked the storms LIVE on Channel 2 Action News as they moved through.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Barrow, Gwinnett and Walton County until 6:15 p.m.

5:40 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Carroll, Cobb, Douglas, Fulton and Paulding until 6:15 p.m.
