ALLISHA GRAY INJURY
Atlanta will play without its leading scorer Allisha Gray, who has been ruled out for Game 2. She injured her hand during the first quarter of Atlanta’s Game 1 win.
Head coach Karl Smesko says Gray had an X-ray and will be day-to-day.
DeWanna Bonner, who scored 23 points off the bench in Game 1, is likely to start in place of Gray.
STATE FARM ARENA NEW HOME
Game 2 also comes on the heels of a major announcement: the Dream are moving back to State Farm Arena next season.
The franchise and arena agreed to a multi-year deal on Tuesday. The Dream played at State Farm Arena, formerly known as Phillips Arena, from 2008-2016. Since 2021, they have played at Gateway Center Arena in College Park.
“This is an exciting next chapter for the Atlanta Dream, and a direct reflection of the exciting style of play that is Dream basketball, the passion of our fans and the incredible growth of this franchise,” said Morgan Shaw Parker, president and COO of the Atlanta Dream.
