Georgia OG Solomon Kindley opts for NFL draft

Georgia offensive lineman Solomon Kindley became the latest Bulldog to declare for the NFL draft.

Kindley, a 6-4, 330-pound junior from Jacksonville, announced his intentions via his Instagram account on Tuesday. He thanked Georgia’s fans, former offensive line coach Sam Pittman for recruiting him and the strength and training staff’s for developing him and keeping him healthy.

“With that being said and after discussing it with my family, I’ll be forgoing my senior season and will enter the NFL Draft,” Kindley wrote.

Kindley’s announcement came at a time that Bulldogs’ fans were keeping vigil over the decision of fellow junior Jake Fromm.

Kindley was redshirted as a freshman in 2016. He has been a starter for on the Bulldogs the last three years, 32 games overall. The last two years he was Georgia’s left guard.

Kindley is the third underclassman starter on Georgia’s offensive line to decide to turn pro. He joins left tackle Andrew Thomas and right tackle Isaiah Wilson.

When Kindley was out of the lineup, he was usually replaced by junior Justin Shaffer. As it turns out, Shaffer, who was sidelined the second half of the season with a neck injury, announced Tuesday that he intends to return for his senior season.

Junior running back D’Andre Swift also declared for the draft earlier this month.
