ATHENS, Ga. — UGA dominated its opponent for the Bulldogs’ hot home opener at Sanford Stadium.

The Bulldogs prevailed with 60 unanswered points with a score of 63-3 against the Tennessee State Tigers. It was the Dawgs’ first meeting against Tennessee State.
UGA quarterback Gunner Stockton led the team for five drives, passing for 202 yards and three touchdowns before the team’s second- and third-string quarterbacks got a chance to play.
No. 3 Georgia was also powered by three rushing touchdowns from Nate Frazier.
Georgia scored touchdowns on its first five possessions to take control of the game at Sanford Stadium.
The severe heat contributed to fans leaving early after the Bulldogs built a 28-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.
Stockton completed 15 of 16 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns while guiding Georgia’s early offense.
Frazier ran for 72 yards on four carries, scoring on a 48-yard run on his first carry, a 14-yard run on his second carry and a 3-yard run in the second half.
