The school and police are making sure it all goes off without a hitch. Meanwhile, Channel 2′s Tom Jones spoke with students buying Bulldogs T-shirts and hats.

“I just got a shirt for myself. Go Dawgs,” student Summit St. John said.

Some students plan to wear their new gear to the parade Saturday. They said they will be decked out and excited to see the football team on campus.

“I’m just super hyped about it. I’m a senior, so it was so exciting to win the national championship, finally,” student Madison Voshall said.

While the students are getting their wardrobes ready, police and school officials are getting the campus ready for the parade and celebration inside Sanford Stadium. The parade will start at South Lumpkin Street and Pinecrest Drive then work its way down Lumpkin to the Tate Center. That is where the Bulldogs will get out of their cars and do the Dawg Walk into Sanford Stadium.

Barricades will line the street to keep the players separated from the fans. Police plan to have extra officers on patrol.

Fans said the best spot to see the players is at the Tate Center for the Dawg Walk.

“I’d say you just go to get there early, because it’s going to be a lot of people,” student Audrey Rogers said.

Students said everyone is excited and ready for a celebration that beats all celebrations.
