Man accused of shooting, killing woman at Arkansas Chuck E. Cheese during toddler’s birthday party

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A man is facing a capital murder charge after police said he shot and killed a woman during a toddler’s birthday party at an Arkansas Chuck E. Cheese.

According to KATV and KARK, Marlon Marbley Jr., 21, surrendered to North Little Rock police on Monday, one day after the fatal shooting occurred at the Landers Road restaurant.

Police said Marbley and Christina Clay, 32, of White Hall, were at a toddler’s birthday party Sunday evening when the pair began to argue, the news outlets reported. Clay and a group of people then went outside, where Marbley shot Clay multiple times with a semiautomatic pistol, KARK reported. He fled as Clay died, police said.

Marbley, who turned himself in about 12:30 p.m. Monday, remains jailed without bond, North Little Rock police said in a Facebook post.
