Georgia woman throws hot grease on ex-boyfriend for ‘talking to another female,’ authorities say

A man suffered burns to his face and body after authorities said his ex-girlfriend throw hot grease on him, authorities said.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Department arrested Joyce Ann Styles Monday and charged her with aggravated assault.

According to the Macon Telegraph, the man told investigators he was called over to Styles’ home at the Windy Hill Manor Apartments in Macon around 8 p.m.

The Macon Telegraph reported that, “When he got to her apartment, she threw a pot of hot grease on him. He stated that (the) suspect was mad at him for talking to another female.”

Styles told the deputy that Releford “would not (leave) her alone,” according to the Macon Telegraph.

Styles was taken to the Bibb County Jail and held on a $390 bond, the Macon Telegraph said.
