CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A metro Atlanta woman is in jail facing multiple charges after deputies say she opened fire on a car, shattering the window and injuring one of the people inside.
Amanda Jordan, 56 of Ball Ground, is accused of firing her gun at two people in a vehicle that were driving toward Ball Ground at about 6 a.m. on Oct. 1.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office said Jordan had gotten into a dispute with one of the victims in the car at a home on Damascus Road.
When the two tried to leave, Jordan opened fire, shattering the vehicle’s window, with a bullet grazing his head, according to investigators.

The victims called 911 while driving away and met with deputies at a gas station.
Other deputies went to the Damascus Road home and ordered Jordan to leave the house, and she was taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said.
Jordan faces the following charges:
- 2 counts aggravated assault
- 2 counts criminal attempt
- 2 counts criminal damage to property, 2nd degree
The sheriff’s office said the incident is still under investigation and Jordan remains in jail without bond.
